The Spring CS Department Picnic is here!
Students, staff, faculty, and family are welcome to come by the Sunset Recreation Upper Picnic Area (map) on Friday, May 11th, between 3-6pm. There will be sunshine, food on the grill, and brilliant conversations.
The picnic is sponsored by the CS department, and co-hosted with UPE.

$CONTEST 2011 - "So you think you can present?" was held on April 7th, 2011. Six presenters were chosen to battle it out in a fight for glory and riches. The winners were chosen by audience vote.
Dr. Maria "Lolo" Penedo, Professor Leonard Kleinrock, and Professor Eddie Kohler served as judges and provided feedback to the speakers.
The contest was sponsored by the Northrop Grumman Future Technical Leaders Program and organized by the Computer Science Graduate Student Committee.
The majority of the event was arranged by Keith Stevens, and Peter Peterson served as MC.
The CS Department Spring Picnic is happening May 7th, 12-4pm at the Sunset Recreation Upper Picnic Area.
All graduate students, staff, faculty, friends and family are invited!
Take a break and join us for hot food off the grill, plenty of snacks, cold drinks, and all kinds of fun.

Come see this year's $CONTEST: the always exciting presentation contest where your peers present their best ideas and you vote for the best presenter. Watch them explain and share their ideas, watch academic celebrity judges break down their skills, and eat plenty of free delicious food!
$CONTEST 2011 will be held on April 7th from 4-6pm, during the standard CS 201 time slot in Boelter Hall 3400.
